Pharmaceutical plant «GEDEON RICHTER-RUS » is a subsidiary company of Gedeon Richter Plc (Hungary, Budapest), one of the largest manufacturers of pharmaceuticals in Eastern Europe. One of strategic approaches of Gedeon Richter Plc is expansion and strengthening its market presence in Russia and in Eastern Europe. Special emphasis is put on Russia where Gedeon Richter Plc is one of the leading pharmaceutical suppliers and has the second largest turnover.

Due to this approach the decision to establish a solid dosage form manufacturing plant in Russia was taken, the plant meeting the high international standards of pharmaceutical industry. 

In 1996 in Yegorievsk district of Moscow Region it was decided to establish the first foreign pharmaceutical plant CJSC “GEDEON RICHTER-RUS”, a subsidiary company of Gedeon Richter Plc.

The main goal of the plant is to manufacture medications, which meet all the requirements of quality, efficacy and safety for reasonable prices. New manufacturing facilities meet the strictest world standards, technological and laboratory requirements which are used in pharmaceutical field. These facilities are designed for manufacturing and packing medications. Among our prominent medications are: antimicrobial and hypertensive medications, broad-spectrum tranquilizers, oral and injection centrally acting muscle relaxants (Mydocalm and Mydocalm-Richter). There are also: cardiovascular medications, antidiabetic, nootropic, antiulcer and sedative agents, up-to-date cephalosporin antibiotic .

The analytical and microbiological laboratories of Quality Control and Assurance Department are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. High technology manufacturing processes correspond strictly to HSE requirements.

A strategic goal of the plant is to attain a prominent position among the leading Russian manufacturers, which can be achieved through strict compliance with GMP principles and manufacturing of highly efficient and safe medications. Besides, the plant satisfies all the Russian requirements. In the result of license compliance audits the plant didn’t have any serious non-conformity or any official claims. 

In May 2007 “GEDEON RICHTER-RUS” got GOST R ISO 9001-2000 certificate which was one of the important company achievements.

Every year “GEDEON RICHTER-RUS” becomes more and more popular in the market increasing production in comparison with the previous years. For instance, at 2006 year-end in comparison with 2005 the plant moved up from the 33 to the 23 place among TOP Russian manufactures.

Due to production expanding the development of the company is progressing. New laboratories, a new warehouse and manufacturing facilities are invested.

Operation of new hi-tech equipment requires highly-skilled experts. Therefore, the plant pays much attention to the professional development of its employees. With assistance of experts from the parent company, a training and professional development system was developed. Under the system, the employees systematically attend workshops in subdivisions of Gedeon Richter in Budapest and also do prestigious courses in Russia and abroad.

Employees’ training and professional development, the ongoing development of production capacities and the implementation of new technologies, continuous monitoring of raw materials and components quality, as well as of finished products and manufacturing processes, the expansion of product range and sales system improvement - all these are crucial components of GEDEON RICHTER-RUS activities aimed at achieving our main goal - life quality improvement.
